Privacy Policy

We built New Era Skills to support learning. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Core principle: We don’t sell your personal information. We use data to operate the site, improve learning experiences, and keep the community safe.

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

  • Account details (name, email, role such as student/instructor, and login identifiers).
  • Learning activity (course progress, participation, submissions, and settings you choose).
  • Support messages (what you send via contact forms or email, plus attachments you provide).
  • Technical data (device/browser info, IP address, approximate location, log data).
  • Cookies and similar technologies used for sign-in, preferences, and site analytics.

2) How we use information

  • Provide and maintain the service (accounts, access control, and core features).
  • Personalize the experience (remember settings and improve usability).
  • Communicate with you (receipts, security notices, support replies, and product updates where allowed).
  • Safety and integrity (prevent abuse, detect fraud, and enforce our Terms).

3) When we share information

We share only what’s necessary to operate the platform. Common examples:

  • Service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics, and payment processors such as Stripe for donations).
  • Legal and safety (to comply with law or protect users, our organization, and the public).
  • With your direction (for example, when you choose to connect a third-party tool).

We keep information only as long as needed for learning services, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security. Retention periods may vary by data type.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information (for example, access controls and secure transport). No system is perfect, but we work to reduce risk and respond quickly to issues.

8) Children and schools

New Era Skills may be used by students and educators. If a school or institution provisions access, it may manage certain account settings consistent with applicable laws and agreements.
